Today the local news announced that Seattle Police Officer Cynthia Whitlach is in danger of losing her job for her past performance including but not limited to arresting a then 70 year old, twenty year air force veteran and retired Metro bus driver. She claimed the the old duffer swung a golf club (he uses it as a cane while walking) at her while she was driving by. The result was arrest and jail for the old guy and later, dismissal of all charges.
This old gent is filing a claim against the City of Seattle for $750k. The city will pay without blinking an eye because it's far more cost effective than litigation. The question remains, why would a cop stop a 70 year old man on a warm July afternoon taking a stroll through the business district of his neighborhood. Oh wait. Did I mention he's black?

A story today published by the Seattle Times concerned two King County deputies who claimed that this bus driver used the "F" word during a heated argument, thereby putting the drivers job in jeopardy. These two cops, a Sergeant and deputy both signed identical statements alleging that the driver swore at them (and offended them I guess).
I make no secret to people I know that I'm an atheist. I don't push my non-belief on other people. You believe what you want to believe and I'll do the same. With all the zanies running for president how about we stoke the fires just a little. Let's start a rumor that Obama intends to use his executive authority to enable himself to run for a third term. Yee Haw. Obama 2016.
Wow, look at all the zanies running for prez.
So far, the Dems seem to have a car loaded up with only one candidate with off-kilter leanings. That would be former Republican senator and Rhode Island governor lincoln Chafee who has mentioned that we should convert to the metric system (an idea pitched by former democratic president Jimmy Carter to much derision ). Thing is, this seems to be the only thing that the media has reported; in essence implying that he's a crazy. Keep in mind folks, when Chafee was a republican senator, he was the only one in his party who voted against the war in Iraq. Yup, just another loon. Oh, but the republican side. Yee haw! I get to spew out my liberal, pinko, commie, knee-jerk, faggot opinions on a whole shit-load of people, male and female, white, black and brown, but above all, the incredible crap that this crazy train emits with no credible challenge. I don't know much about Jeb! Bush but come on, guilt by association here. He supports his brother's dumbest decisions and really, I'm not a real fan of dynasties. The dude made a lot of dough while running Florida's corrupt legislature. Yep, that's an accusation...any dumb rednecks or wealthy folks who want to dispute me are free to respond. So this dope just recently made a statement saying that Americans need to work longer (after a little backlash he tried to walk back his comment). Um...I've gotta say that I had to retire about 6 months prior to getting my first social security check. Having said that, when I was working as a truck driver hauling a truck and trailer with loads in excess of 11,000 gallons of gasoline and delivering up to 5 and 6 loads a day to gas stations and convenience stores, it wasn't unusual to put in 56 to 64 hours in a 4 day work week. As your loyal socialist, I submit this for your approval Donovan Just read about the dude who put a re-loadable mortar tube on his head and fired it off. This dude was 22 years old, not exactly a seasoned adult but, come on. Hell, I'm 66 now but I damn sure knew better than to do stupid shit like this. Here's a statement from his 25 year old brother who witnessed the accident.
"There was no rushing him to the hospital. There was no Devon left when I got there," Too bad; my title says it all. |
